Uniting Care Burwood Preschool is looking for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our preschool on a Full-time contract until 22nd May 2026 with the possibility for the right candidate to extend or go permanent.

About the Service

Uniting Care Burwood Preschool has been a vital part of the Burwood community for 75 years, we’re committed to providing the best education and care for children and are rated as exceeding the National Quality Standard (NQS). We are located in the heart of Burwood with onsite parking and a short 5-minute walk to Burwood Station. Our operating hours are 8:30am – 4:00pm during NSW Public School Terms.

What you’ll be doing in this role

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will contribute to the planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection of the educational program for the children. You’ll also provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework! You will be working alongside the Nominated Supervisor / Director as the lead Early Childhood Teacher.

Your care work may include:

  • Contribute to the development of programs which reflect the approved learning framework.
  • Developing positive and respectful relationships that support children, their families and community.
  • Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.
  • You’ll guide and support educators to implement the program and philosophy for the children.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor Teaching / Early Childhood Education
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working as an ECT (experience working as educational lead advantageous)
  • A work history that demonstrates recording observations, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework.
